Meet Retreat Speaker
She’s back! With an overwhelming response at last year’s retreat, we invited Diana to be the speaker again this year. She will assist us in navigating what it means to be anchored in God’s love.
Diana is a regular gal with an infectious smile, and a heart for echoing the encouragement of Christ to others. When you meet her you’ll realize she is on the same journey with you; learning how to embrace Christ’s grace more and more.
Diana moved from Iowa to Arizona in 2014 to complete her Masters of Divinity. She has taught women’s Bible studies, lead a college ministry, and worked on community development abroad. She loves being an Aunt, drinking tea, watching live theater, hearing people’s stories and outdoor adventures.
Meet Retreat Worship Leaders
BRAD + REBEKAH
These global recording artists will bring power and praise to our worship times. Brad + Rebekah, a dynamic husband and wife team, have been leading worship in various venues since 2006. You can hear them on iTunes, where they currently have 4 albums available.
Their passion is traveling and leading worship throughout the United States and around the world.
You will get to attend a workshop on Saturday in a small group setting. Each workshop is taught by an amazing woman with deep roots into their subject. You'll have the opportunity to make your choice from this list of workshops on Friday night.
56 Words | Sherree Fischer
Good things come in small packages. With just 56 words (the length of some grocery lists), Jesus was able to show us the perfect prayer - The Lord's Prayer. We will dig into the reason Jesus taught it to the disciples and why it is relevant today.
PRAYERFUL PILATES | Paige Tornberg
Experience Pilates in a whole new light. Praying through each movement while connecting mind, body and spirit. Meditating on specific Scripture while improving flexibility, balance, coordination, and strength stemming from your core while clearing your mind and releasing stress. Join us and leave feeling rejuvenated and inspired to continue your health and wellness journey.
PSALM 23 - SOUL RESTORATION IN AN EXHAUSTING WORLD | Cat Phillips
The 23rd Psalm is one of the best known and most often quoted chapters of Scripture, but the peaceful serenity we see there is rarely our experience as 21st century women. What does this Psalm really say to us and how do we come to find ourselves in these lines? In this workshop we’ll walk through this Psalm line by line and discover the timelessness of God’s truth.
MOSES: PROVIDENCE, PROVISION, POWER | Maria Larrison
Have you ever felt like you were supposed to do something but felt there was no way? This workshop will give you insight into how God walks with you as you journey this thing called life.
LIVE 2 LOVE - 1 CORINTHIANS 13 | Stefanie Calens
Much like the state of our society today, the city of Corinth in Paul’s time was morally corrupt. In a world comprised of both broken promises and broken people, the choice to love can present as a challenge. How do you love through rejection, betrayal, disappointment and beyond? Together, we will seek to further understand that the gifts of the Spirit are temporary yet, the Fruit of the Spirit are eternal. Practicing love in action changes the way in which you see people. It allows you the freedom to love completely, while ultimately, coming to a deeper understanding in which the way God loves.
BE... KNOW... DO | Keysha Allen
God leads most believers into the desert at one time or another. Even Moses, the Israelites, David, and Jesus were led out into the wilderness; it was not God's plan to keep them there. God used the desert to prepare them for something greater, and to discern God's plans, they each had to stop, listen for, trust, and know God. Their actions in the desert are at the very heart of "being still and knowing God."
If you are in a desert right now then this workshop is for you. The goal is to go on a journey of understanding the Biblical meaning of "being still" with the participants. Also, participants will be led in a listening circle of being, knowing, and doing and taken through several ancient stillness practices that are designed to help discern desert experiences and God's plans.
