I attended college for almost two years before entering the work force.  I never finished my journalism degree mainly due to my own choices.  In 1978 my job location changed from the corporate work place to raising five children in a rural community.  I survived and by God’s grace, they did, too. My trial-and-error method of parenting was replete with mistakes and successes.

Some of my past “job” titles have been cashier, transcriptionist, church secretary, VBS Director, Children’s Ministry Director, Women’s Ministry Co-Director and Guatemala Mission Team Leader.  I’ve managed my architect husband’s office since 1988 and travel as often as possible.   I am the blessed – and much more relaxed – Mimi of twelve grandchildren.

Although I began following Jesus in 1979, it wasn’t until my mid-fifties that I understood grace and freedom.  Until then, my life was based on rules.  By studying the scriptures, listening to godly speakers and reading books by respected Christian authors, God freed me from the chains of legalism.

I believe God has given me a wide range of life experiences, thoughts and words to inspire others to live grace-filled, grace-giving lives.  My desire is to Inspire others – one word at a time.

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.  I Peter 4:10
