Telling you about who I am either takes 5 minutes or 5 hours - there is no in between! I think of myself as both deeply complicated and extremely simple. So first the basics; I’m a strong willed introvert who loves the outdoors, music, good food and COFFEE. I am beyond blessed to have been brought up in a loving Christian home with parents who set a fabulous example of what it means to love Jesus and one another. A few years ago I adopted a simple motto based on Mathew 22:37-39 that I try to live out every day with God’s strength - LOVE GOD AND LOVE OTHERS.

No "about me" would be complete without having to admit that I am a proud Soccer Mom. Cliche, I know, but with three kids playing and most of my free time spent sitting on a camping chair yelling a refs, I think it’s time to own up to the title. My little people are growing up fast and I’m thankful every day that I get to be their mom. Speaking of moms, I am honored to have mine with me 24/7 to help with all the chaos. Jesus took my dad home in 2016 and we know we will see him again one day but until then we are blessed to continue on this journey as mother and daughter. Next we come to my partner in crime, aka my husband, my college romance, the flip side to my coin, the one who can always make me laugh and my true super hero. We have been together since we were 18 and an unlikely match from the start. A true example of opposites attract.

While everything listed above sounds great, please don’t think that my life is perfect. Growing up I had a serious rebellious phase. To sum it up in one sentence, it is only by God’s grace that I survived my early teen years. In my late 20’s I was finally able to look back over my life and come to terms with life long struggles that come from deep, dark places in my soul. Today I continue the journey to understand who God made me to be. Sometimes I have more questions than answers but there are a few things that I know to be true about me. I am a child of God. I am loved by Him beyond my understanding and comprehension. God did not make any mistakes when He made me which truly blows my mind!
